It’s been a long weekend here in New Zealand – 3 days of bliss (apart from the storms and flooding!). I spent a lot of my time in my art room – painting and generally having fun.
Recently I took some photos of the full moon, showing above the hills, across the river from where I live.
For some of them I crouched down low so the moon is seen behind the grass.
Even though some of the photos are a little blurry, because the camera couldn’t decide how to focus, the effect is quite cool.
I have been translating the photos into various media, including watercolour, acrylic, Indian ink, pastels and water soluble crayons and pencils.
I’ve got more pieces on the go, but some of the paint is taking a while to dry…
