22_365 : wonderful world of flowers

I started this with an acrylic painting of a flower, then adjusted the colours in Photoshop and finally turned it into an “enameled” version. I can see this printed as a blank greeting card perhaps!

  1. Dear Cath,

Thanks so much for your kind words. Yes, it is is so difficult getting older and you know eventually your parents, dogs, kids, etc. won’t be around forever…. you just hope everyone goes in order… but it doesn’t always happen that way. I read about your dog Meg… so sorry to hear about her passing, and just a couple of weeks ago… that must have been devastating! I’m sooo sorry! I will be praying for your mother as well and hope she’s home soon. My mom started with a quintuple bypass at 59 and then continued to smoke. We wanted her to go to the doctor for almost 2 yrs for a nagging cough, but she wouldn’t (stubborn, this is where I get it from)… but when she finally got dragged there by my sis, she found out she had pneumonia, and on the chest x-ray they found a cancerous tumor, too large to operate on. This was in June. I wish I could see her more, but I live across the state and have 3 kids of my own, 2 in elementary school. So… I just cringe when the phone rings and then breathe a sigh of relief when it’s not news about mom… good news is always welcomed though.

Prayers are coming your way and I love your work too!!!! I have always been a computer geek, and even have Painter IX and Photoshop Elements as well as Dream Suite (just one of them, too expensive) and it’s fun to play, but never got serious about it. I do love what you do with your art!

Get well, mom… both of our moms!!! 🙂

Thanks for writing… I’ll be thinking of you,
    Rose

Cath Sheard has left a new comment on your post “Peaceful Seascape in Blue, Acrylic on Paper ACEO S…”:

Best wishes and prayers for you and your Mum. I hope you find your art a comfort. My Mum is currently in hospital 1.5hrs away with end stage cardiac failure so I understand the kind of emotions you are dealing with. I’ll be pleased when she’s home again for a bit. Lovely lovely art btw.
