It’s my weekend for Crusading with Michelle over at the GPP Street Team site. This month Michelle challenged us to paint a background using two colors them stamp into it using the same two colors, so that the stamp fades in and out. I tried this in to different sets of colours – blue/greens and red/oranges; think I prefer the cooler colors overall. I used one of my absolute fav stamps, a Making Memories foam stamp that I use endlessly, and some bubble wrap because it happened to be sitting on my desk. I worked on plain paper instead of in my journal and will be sticking them in there for future reference.
Cath, These are GORGEOUS!! The first one is so rich and complex-great colors and texture.
You did a great job with the in-and-out of the next two and the red/orange ones are stunning . . . did you carve the round stamp?

These are scrummy! What medium did you use? Is it acrylic? I’ve done this sort of thing on fabric too. I’t’s good to be reminded of these techniques. Thanks.

Beautiful, both colors, but I think I prefer the cooler also. I love
the mandala stamp, but bubble wrap is always a winner too!

Cath – beautiful papers! Love the effects you got. I think I like the cooler ones too – even though I’m an admitted red-lover and blue-disliker. All of them look great together, but I love the third one best! Thanks for sharing your work with the team!

What great results you got! The colors on the first set look like an underwater scene. You have a gift for using bright colors. And those patterns will make great journal pages.

Bubble wrap!! My favorite. We have a lot in common – the use of bubble wrap and the large spiral foam stamp! 😉 Thanks for sharing – love the layers of paint.
